I am Heidi, a Welsh girl living in Portsmouth, Hampshire. 

After years of working in Project Administration roles mostly within the defence industry, I decided to go it alone so in March 2019 I set up a company called Keeping your Books Ltd which was to be a Bookkeeping business, but whilst working on the business I discovered I had much more to offer so this is when Creative Edge VA Ltd was born. I now work from my home office with my trusty assistants

Bobby, the dog and Bella, the cat.

Working for myself has always been a dream of mine and making my dream come true has been an enjoyable adventure which has had some low points and high points but it has definitely been one of my best adventures. 

I truly love working in my home office with my little assistants by my side who are sometimes mischievous but are normally snoring loudly away like they are right now.

 

Getting to help other small business owners make their dreams come true too, is a privilege and a joy, plus it is lovely to work with such a wide range of industries. I have clients who are in the creative industry to the finance industry, as well as clients from all over the world, America, Sweden, UK and even New Zealand so the journey I have had as a business owner as definitely been an interesting one.

Well here is a little about my work experience, working as an administrator/PA for over 20 years as given me a vast knowledge of all things admin and the fact that my roles had a financial and budgeting side to them I have working knowledge of bookkeeping on a large scale which was a great start to my bookkeeping journey.

In 2018, I decided to study ICB Bookkeeping Level 2 and am in the middle of my level 3 currently.

Whilst building my bookkeeping business, I started to realise I had a great joy in the Dubsado so I spent time completely workshops and training to be knowledgeable enough to be able to offer this as a service. 

Mixing my love of Canva with Dubsado as helped me create some beautiful forms which give my Dubsado set up that extra special bit of magic.

With these new skills I decided to offer new and wonderful services as well as change my business name to reflect the services I love to do and to show I am not just a bookkeeper, which you will see throughout my website.
